...many levelled at me 40 years ago when I was a student apprentice. The second lowest of engineering life forms in the power industry. The lowest: the craft apprentice.

You really are........ Thick as mince.

Still my favourite. Still use it! :broon:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I have several for my students..

'You are depriving a village of an idiot'

'Youre wasting oxygen that real people could use'

'I bet you think Sherlock Holmes is an old people's care home'

Now we're talking!

Oxygen thief.
Waste of skin.
A tragic waste of food and opportunity.

Cruel: When you were born, they burnt the wrong bit in the incinerator.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Did your Mum tell you: 'why don't you to grow up, stupid?'

Because you surpassed her expectations.

When they handed out beds, did you think they said heads?

Because you must have asked for a big soft one.

You should be either a bouncer at mother care... Or a life guard at a ball pit

It has to be said: many comments levelled at me and my contemporaries back in the seventies are not politically correct today. They probably weren't then, either.......
Additionally, It is apparently not allowed to cruelly beat apprentices nowadays.

Wish they'd told me: those handcuffs really hurt.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

An old favorite from my Army days:

Shake your head dopey!
Do you hear anything?
Private: no corporal
THAT'S BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING IN THERE!!!
Give me 25 pushups.

alternatively.....

Shake your head dopey!
Do you hear anything?
Private (having been through this before thinks he has it figured out)...
Yes Corporal!
THAT'S YOUR PEA SIZED BRAIN RATTLING AROUND!
Give me some pushups.
Private; How many Corporal?
I'll tell you when to stop.

I like to send the apprentices of for a tin of grinding sparks.
And it's always at bit of fun at the apprentice's expense when I show them my ratchet allen key! What I do is turn a bolt with the allen key whist holding the nut unseen with a ratchet, as I crank the allen key back the ratchet can me heard. I've confused quite a few of the thicker ones that way.
