Well this site works perfect for me, but I'm using a 17" Macbook Pro running lion 10 O/S and Firefox browser. So what I'm experiencing won't be much help.
I do however mention that for the benefit of the boffin who maintains the site, so he can get an idea of what combinations do work.

But when I get home I'll fire up the other laptop which is an awful POS Dell running Windows XP, though I usually use Firefox with that too, but it still has Exploder on it. So in the name of science I'll try it with that and report my findings. Mind you I'll be swearing and cussing whilst remembering why I don't like to use Windows anymore.
Do you know why Microsatan call their operating system "Windows"?
It's a pane (sic) and it's easily broken!
There's a Toshiba running Vista that belongs to my housemate, I'll give that a go too.

I am writing this using Chrome.
I have attached 3 screengrabs from IE10.
The first is the Index Page. As can be seen "Everything You Need to Know About HGF" is displayed vertically one letter per line

The second is my home page after logging in
This is self explanatory

The third is the topic reply editor

The PC runs 64 Bit Windows 7 Home Premium and Internet Explorer 10 64 Bit at a resolution of 1600x900 pixels

I will get a grab from my laptop later

As promised a screen shot on my laptop at 1366x768 resolution. This shows the recent topics page with no topics showing!

I thought I'd throw in a screenshot of the bottom of the page. Clearly IE 10 isn't rendering the site properly. I have had to switch to Chrome as I cannot include pictures in posts made in IE 10.

How have you managed to get the compatibility mode button to appear in the address bar?

OK Alan,

Look at this.

You see the blue icon like a ripped page? Click it.

I thought I'd tried compatability mode before but I've now tried it again and it seems to be rendering properly now, although I've yet to try my laptop.

If the recent site modifications were meant to enable the site to run properly in modern browsers then it seems perverse to have to use compatability mode in what will be for many people their browser of choice

Just built myself a 64 bit win7 with ie10, and I can confirm an issue with that configuration.
I won't however be fixing it for the same reason the site no longer supports IE8.

To work around the issue don't use IE10 in IE8 Compatibility mode. Instead use IE10's native renderer.
As highlighted in the post above use the broken page icon to toggle between.

That is the point, but you had compatibility mode turned on.
