6mm SS bolts, nyloc nuts and wide washers would probably be better the plastic zip ties for mounting the fans

I fitted a high CFM 8" fan from Car Builder Solutions yesterday..

Heres a video

In my humble opinion.. not a lot different to the standard factory item...

What about sticking a second fan onto the rad?

Already got twin fans on the rad.. second one on manual switch..

Will be running waterless coolant.. PRT.. silicone hoses.. Stainless pipes.. just getting a price on an all Aluminium rad.. thats 25% thicker than the standard item..

But this focus was mainly on dropping the engine bay temps..

The extract fans on the boot work really well..

What about opening up the rear like the McLaren P1? I've always thought the boot vents are great for when the car is stationary - so avoiding overheating in traffic - but not the best place when on the move. The problem is the bulkhead between engine and boot traps the hot air. If you could somehow mesh that and get some mesh/outlets on the rear of the bootlid on below the bootlid then my guesstimation would be that the hot air would flow out the back when moving.
I need to do a diagram and a picture which would help this make any kind of sense.

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels :)

Damper on a motor that opens the boot like a spoiler?

One idea I had early on was to remove the rear brake light (centre one) and vent out the rear of the boot lid..

But in all honesty.. air ducts under the car (a pair) will (reads should) scoop air up into the engine bay whilst moving.. This will result in the warmer air rising.. and should naturally exit the enlarged holes in my boot lid..

The bigger problem is when the cars stationary.. Hence the extra fans Im going to fit.. to 'force' the air through the engine bay to shift some heat out...

Looked at having 4-2-1 ceramic coated.. but its £400+ :omg:
