I know this wont interest most..

But for those who do track days etc..

Anyone fitted a passenger foot rest?

I plan on fitting one thats removeable for everyday driving..

Hardest part is mounting it to the floor.. I was thinking about some bolts welded to the floor.. facing up.. and some wing nuts to clamp the foot rest down..

Anyone done anything? pics... ideas..

Id probably fit it for track days and also for 'spirited' driving on roads in the Pyrenees etc..

Something like..

Are there fixings available in the passenger well for left hand drive cars. ie for the pedal box and the driver's foot rest? :-?

After buying a lovely alloy foot rest from car builder solutions.. I ended up following the KISS theory..

3/4" tube drops into 2x horse shoe shaped mounts..

Tube drops in, pulls out and can be stored in the boot when the foot rest isn't needed..

The tube will get wrapped in the tape they use for squash racket handles

Simple, cheap, effective..
