Hi All, :help:

driving to work this morning the battery light came on.................

on the way home, the light came on again..................
fortunately most of the way home the ABS light came on,
just after that the radio turned off,
on my road the SRS light came on,
as I parked I lost the power steering.

Hopefully not too serious and a simple fix.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Rich.

Charge light coming on = alternator output. The way it's configured means that the output s low/non existent.

Random warning lamps coming on is a sign of slow battery charge failure.
Check charging voltage at tickover = above 14 Volts.
May be just the drive belt.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

As above classic signs of alternator output problem. Either the alternator has failed or the belt is loose. :yesnod:
The battery will need charged as well, check it's still in good condition ie holding charge.

This might help http://www.the-t-bar.com/en/forum/22-cjjs-guides/214-alternator-how-to-change

Exactly the same symptoms as when my alternator packed in.

However, it may just be a loose or missing auxiliary (alternator) belt.
