I have had this problem for some time now and although it has stopped putting the engine warning light on it's still jerky when I reapply my foot to the gas peddle. This makes me think it may have something to do with the throttle body.
Any ideas ? The car is a TF 160 with 60500 on the clock

You really need to get an oBD reader on it. Could be many things fuel or spark related.

Yes it will show fault codes. Not all codes will throw up the engine light.
Sounds like a misfire to be honest. If it is the codes will show which cylinder or any faulty sensors etc.

Well the code is PO 300 random misfire now the coil packs are newish, so are the plugs mind you if I accelerate it stops it jerking this is why I thing it is the throttle body

Has it got the right coil packs on it? My 160 had a similar issue when I got it, took the engine cover off and it had MPI coils on not VVC (VVC are slightly longer0 hence the random misfire

AS I recall I paid more for them as they were longer, as you say vvc ones are longer by 3mm or so

I've had this with my TF for a while, but now it is also throwing up P0313, which is misfire due to low fuel. I know my filter is reasonably new so suspect the pump may have an issue due to age.

Keep an eye on it in case other codes start to come up, I'd already tried coil packs, new spark plugs and ht leads, but still got p0300 faults coming up

Don't think it's the pump as when I accelerate it stops jerking and I can drive it at 1500rpm in 5th gear it just seams when I take my foot off then reapply my foot it jerks if I just try to softly touch the pedal but if I put my foot hard down it's ok
