My 97 F VVC has a problem I can feel (sometimes hear a click) in the steering when turning right to left now the car has been in the garage and had two new shocks/dampers and a new lower ball joint done and the garage said the front end is solid Ie bushes are ok any one got any ideas??? I would not have thought that it would be a problem with the steering rack as it's a simple manual rack with the electric assisted Colum drive . I need help I am getting fed up with it now just seems to be one thing after the other lately

This may be stupid and excuse me if it is, but its not the auto indicator cancel clicking is it, I have had this before on a rover car.

I can only suggest you look at the universal joint at the bottom of the steering column. It may be semi seized.
A worn steering rack would give you vague/wandering steering.
