Thing is I think he would still have one the championship even if he'd not finished. Alonso had to win the race.

Alonso should have been at least second to keep the championship open.
But with him on 11th position Vettel would be world champion even if he had not finished the race.
Alonso did not lose the championship in India but during the second half of the season.
Hopefully next season will be a little more thrilling. But I doubt.

The problem is/was that the Red Bull was just so much better than the rest. Adrian Newey has definitely got something that the other guys haven't figured out yet.
Gary Anderson was on about the front of the floor( tea tray) moving with heat. Allowing the car to be closer to the road at speed. Whatever it is it's very clever. The Red Bulls were probably .75 to 1 second a lap faster than the rest. Vettel was coasting and not using kers and still led by 30 seconds.
Take the Red Bulls out of the season and we would have had stunning races because all the other cars are so close in performance.

He was always going to win the championship but it would have been nice to see Mark get a result; even he as a team mate has had enough of Vettel.

I think the only interesting thing about the last races is whether Mark will get a win, tbh.
