TF alternators

Hi all
I remember reading on here that TF alternators go bottom up when 8-10 yrs old so how many of use have got an alternator older than 10yrs as mine is 9yrs9months So do I get myself a new one now just in case?

Ours is a mk2 F alternator but it's 12 years 1 month old. Mind you it is very noisy so probably due to pop anytime soon.

yes that's it but when I right click to put the No in the wrong box opens up with no paste so I have to close the box click the left button to put curser inbetween the ebay icons and then click again

Are you copying the number before you click the ebay button? Then you click in between the brackets.

Driving my 2002 today and when I put indicator on rev counter and speedo jumped up and down also LED flickered ? Anyway changing the alternator :rant:

Sorry to hear that. The one on the post above is an up rated one 110Ah the std one is 85Ah
