Lolarm up date
I posted that when I had HGF my Lolarm never went off :nonod:
It had been fitted by local garage & as the green light was always illuminated, I assumed it was working ok. Wrong - the light only indicates that the system is armed & when my bottle emptied, the green light was still illuminated
The system works by a magnetic float contacting a reed switch fastened on the underside of the bottle, which sounds a buzzer alarm.
After a new HG was fitted, I got a new reed switch from the supplier [Andy cape] & then experimented by moving the position of the reed switch around, while the float was pushed down, until the buzzer sounded. The optimum position was over an inch towards the center of the bottle from that recommended in the fitting instructions
It's now working fine & I still think it's a good product, but make sure it's fitted properly & test regularly :yesnod:

I'd have to agree with the testing. I found mine didn't work one day and couldn't understand why. I took the float out wiped it down put it back in and all was fine again ! No idea why it stopped

Simply test it by driving the drivers side wheels over a speed bump occasionally - mine bleeps!

The more I hear the happier I am that I laid out the extra lolly for a B&G low coolant level alarm.

Even with the B and G it's worth holding the float down to test it occasionally as the system still beeps and flashes on startup even when the sensor is disconnected.
