Flippin head gasket!!
The MILS is fine if the liners are all perfect, the SLS gives a little to componsate.
The shim in the MLS kit is totally different to the head saver.

Yes i have used the sls on older ae liners.i still rate the mls providing it a xpart one better.I have measured in some instances liners when the engines have been off the temp gauge and still had only 0.1 mm protrusion.
i found a lot of liner problems not limited to all but the most annoying when somebody previously turned the crank with head off without clamping the liners down.
I have also had liners push the gasket rings into head making indented circles.

my plan is to get it up and running for the summer and get another 135 or 160 engine strip it and replace whats needed then replace it come winter.

Took the head to theses guys today, seem a very friendly and helpful bunch.
They advised me to stick with the SLS gasket but make sure its a Payern.
