In this particular case granted most won't know everything that's gone on.. And that's probably how it should stay..
I know personally though that not everything that was said as fact was true.. No idea why all the tall stories... But as usual in the end things start to unravel..
There is an old saying.. If it sounds to good to be true...
Or all that glitters ain't gold..
Was going to say a fool and his money.. But misplaced trust is probably more accurate..
Anyways.. What's done is done.. We have to all move on from this.. And we will.. It's what we do best :hugs:

I don't think it's as simple as that when you are working on other peoples cars though. Would you be happy letting a charming heart surgeon with dangerous working practices work on you if he did a cheap deal for you?
Unfortunately the personality of the person doesn't always match their skills and when you get as many complaints as we were seeing from people who had work done, then you have to think whether to keep on supporting someone or start warning people against them.
The forum went through a period where we felt uncomfortable as we didn't want to cut him off at the legs, but we also didn't want to recommend him as it would have been unfair to our members.
I don't wish him any ill, but I do hope he ups his game as he seems determined to continue working on others cars. He may be OK on servicings and belt changes, but other stuff was shocking.
Time will tell.
I'm not so naive as to assume that nice people automatically make the best product suppliers. I helped him with some grammar and syntax (he freely admitted dyslexia here and elsewhere) on his business stationery via email and occasionally edited his posts and he wanted to offer something in return. Like many others I was a little taken aback at some of the work done via pics posted on here.
That's about it from me on the subject: As we say Oop Norf, I don't have a dog in this fight: I hope that anyone wronged gets fair recompense and am thankful that nobody was injured resultant from MGFR work. A case of passion exceeding ability.
It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
