terraclean

Hi all
Well in a bid to clean my exhaust emissions up I had my car Terracleaned. What a rip off, it my have cleaned the cars engine and injectors but it took all of 5 minuets and cost me £88 and that was with £20 off and the emissions were the same high level after the cleaning so £88 wasted :rant:

What does Terra cleaning involve?

they disconnect the petrol supply and connect there machine to the petrol line with 2 small cans on there machine. the cans have the cleaning agent Then they run the engine for 5 minuets

I think you should contact Terraclean direct as the process is supposed to take about half an hour and all the fluid should get used. Sounds like maybe you got ripped off!

Have you had the codes read it might give a clue as to the high emissions.

Hi first I took your advice and got in touch with terraclean just had a phone call and the cleaning should be 20-30 mins so thanks for that
I have had the car check on a computer now and its the sensor before the cat which is not working

Get yourself to a morrissons supermarket and by a tub of redex fuel addative that will sort it for about £3.50 if you dont believe me have a luck on line for videos of 5th gear products for improving performance and restoring bhp and cleaning up car imissions redex came out bob on
Years ago you could buy redex that you put a shot in each plug hole and crancked engine over with coil disconnected then re fitted drove car and car blasted plumes of crap out that stuff was concentrated dont no if still available for retail? Did you try the Cataclean discussed previously? Plus a spirited drive. Worked for us, dropping the HC right down.

Anything that Edd China endorses is almost certainly going to be cack tbh.

As I said it was the sensor before the cat which was not working so I had a hunt around ebay and found a NTK one for £64 inc p/p there were others but I think NGK [NTK ] are one of the best so paid up and now waiting for the post [20 may ]

Did Terraclean say the 5 minutes wasn't enough? If so are you able to get it done again for free as you only got a 5 minute job? They must have some control over their franchises I guess?
