Have you ever thrown a snail over the garden fence?
I just found out[strike] I was[/strike] you're wasting your time.
Apparently the little devils have a strong homing instinct!
So you need to throw them over 65 feet for them not to return.
So next time you fling a snail make sure it goes over three garden fences :bust:

Throwing a snail over the fence?
Sounds like a euphemism for something rude....... :coat:
Anyhow, perhaps they don't have a homing instinct: perhaps your neighbour is lobbing the buggers back over while you're not looking....... :yesnod:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

When I attended the border patrol event I saw them stamping on some snails at the morning meeting point. I asked if it was some kind of tradition before the start of the days driving activities. Or, were they just considered as pests, up north, that had to be exterminated?
I was told that you either kill them now or they'll follow you about all day. :tada:

We find that a hefty foot print on them stops their little games. We don't have fences to throw them over.

We used to have a slug and snail problem until Muski arrived.
The caravan park at the bottom of the hill phoned us a couple of weeks ago and asked if we had lost any of our geese as 2 have just turned up at the park. We went to have a look but it was a pair of Muscovy ducks, unfortunately a fox took one of them on the first night so the following evening after a couple of hours chasing her around we caught her.
She has befriended of of the geese and has settled in quite well, over two weeks she has systematically eaten every slug and snail in a half mile radius, she even crunches the shells and eats them too. We are now living in a Slug & Snail Free Zone.
Meet Muski the Muscovy Duck.
