I can relate to apologising to/thanking inanimate objects. I find it irritating though when people say 'excuse me' and don't add 'please'. How rude!

A microwave that plays the Countdown tune for the last 30 seconds! I'd buy one! :broon:

American date logic annoys me intensely. Wtf? :rant: :bat:
Hula hoop problem: they now make giant ones. :broon:
Guilty of all the tea related ones. :yesnod:

An additional personal one: after years of Sue-conditioning I say 'pardon me'' if I I burp. When I'm alone........ :woo2:

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I drink coffee , and the only thing I empathised with was the hula hoops ... :dry: .... (and I really do miss eating them off my fingers.. :( )

Clearly I'm not very 'British' ..... or perhaps just not very English. ;)
