Worst MG Crash? was created by PQD44

Just stumbled across this article from last August featuring a MG ZR.

The force of the impact resulted in the driver being catapulted into the back of the car, still strapped in to his seat. But at 6ft 3in tall and weighing 18st, rescuers said his bulk was one reason he survived.

He broke his right arm in two places and has had plates and screws put in. He also had an open wound on his foot which needed 11 stitches. ‘But other than that it was just cuts and bruises.

The article didn't say how he managed to do that at 7.15am !

Christ, how did he manage that on what appears to be a straight rural road? :-? Fired from a rocket launcher?
Doesn't say a lot for the structural rigidity of a ZR..... :help:

Who'd have thought it, being a bat fastard is now deemed a safety feature.
Pass the chips.......

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

I'm 6ft 2in, 20st - and I can't drive a ZR as it's far too tight...
(no prob in the TF)

The most important question is...

How's the tree?

That'll buff out. :coffee:

On a more serious note, in the story BTL comments :

Matt Moorhouse, Scarboro wrote: You should see the accident scene, the skid marks start on the opposite pavement. It's only a slight bend too!

.... and I'm left wondering if they found a brain when they x-rayed him ....

The face of an idiot driver:

I do hope the police charged him with dangerous driving and banned him for a significant period of time.

That idiot shouldn't be allowed on the road after that display of his road skills.

As we say in Yorkshire, a face perfectly designed for a clenched fist. :yesnod:

That's an overestimate of his mental age, I'd suggest

Robin ;)

What an idjut.

This sticks in my mind as the worst MG crash.

It used to be an F/TF and unfortunately the lady died.
