How would I...?
...find out where my car has been previously? I know was with the previous owner but looks like it has travelled around a bit. Seems to have been brought over from Britain to Northern Ireland in 2005 and ended up in Ballymena about 18 months ago.
Wondering where it started it's life and where it's been since.

If you know the British reg then I think you can find out what area it was registered in.
Does it have any service history??

No service history that I know of, got the current MOT certicate and tax disc, both through the last owner. Should have taken a note of the prior owner to him from the V5 before it got sent in.
Reg is LJ, that gives you the British region, doesn't it?
edit: just googled it, looks like it was first registered in Wimbledon, maybe the tennis has subliminally triggered my interest

Yes, 51 on cars it's the first letters..
Lj is Wimbledon.
Seems to have travelled a bit.
Before the internet cars were bought and sold locally even from auctions as there wasn't a national "trader"
Now cars are from everywhere!!!

Check the MOT history, shows where the car was tested which is normally near home.

Good try, but doesn't work in NI. Different computer system from Swansea. Don't know if the car would have been tested before it came here as ts only 3 years old.
Not to worry, just curiosity.
