Secret Switches

Hi y'all!
When I purchased my Lil beauty last month the owner pointed out a few little switches located in the armrest/storage space.
The one on the photos left (drivers side) is for the engines cooling fan. To be used if sitting in traffic on long journeys and you feel the car overheating, so I'm told. Although the owner never felt the need to use it.
The switch on the right remains a mystery. Any guesses? Any other common aftermarket switches people would install here?
I have a a boot button in the drivers footwear, although it does not currently work... Could this be an on switch for that perhaps? Or something else entirely?
A shot in the dark I suppose but thought I'd ask the experts...?

It could be a master switch for the boot popper switch. You often get that to prevent knocking the boot switch while driving. I have that setup, ie An obvious boot switch with a hidden master switch.
Try a combination of that hidden switch and the boot popper to see if it works.

I really wish I could open the boot with my footwear. Now that would be something!!
Suppose I'll have a play about. Not too confident on tracing wires etc but I'll give it a go. Think I may soon change the speakers in the back so that'll be two jobs that'll go hand in hand, I suppose.
I am also not convinced of the fan story. The switch is in the 'on' position and makes no difference, I feel.
Thanks for your suggestions! A cut off for the boot seems a possibility since that's not worked for the previous owner and there's this unidentifiable switch... Hmm.. I'll keep you posted
