A little bit about..
Myself , My car and the issues I've had.
We'll I'm Craig I'm 27 and I'm from the West Midlands always loved the f and Tf and now I've finally bought one after looking on and off for around 7 years!! I've had the car just over 2 weeks and it's my daily driver as my mrs has the family car to drive the kids around and do her own thing in. The tfs my use it every day fun car !!
Anyway here's the story so far. .
I bought my car from a company in Peterborough called trophy cars just over 2 weeks ago, she's a 2003 53 plate mgtf 135 in anthracite. 3 previous owners with 35k miles and full documented history from new.
It came with a new mot and had just been serviced including up rated head gasket , new water pump ,coolant and cam belt.
Few bits of rust on front wings by headlights and lower wings where they meet the side sills and like wise for the front sills having rust where they meet the front wings ( it's only just starting to bubble paint nothing to worry about) rest of the body work is mainly dent and scratch free.
Alloys have a few curb marks ,roof and window are in great shape and the interior is like new!!
When I got it home I noticed 3 wheels were missing a wheel nut and the 4th wheel had a completely battered locking nut in there .. Then not even 24 hours into ownership engine check light comes on so I contact trophy cars who tell me the management light isn't a problem it's more or likely an upset sensor since head gasket work had been done so to take it to a garage to get it cleared and get locking nut removed and he will refund me what the garage charged (35 pounds) and he would send me 4 new wheel nuts . . . Wheel nuts arrived 2 days later but 2 weeks on still no refund and I haven't been able to get in touch with them. . . Not very impressed with thematic all !!
Anyway next issue was with the starter motor which turned out to be a loose connection so cleaned up spade connector and pushed it full back on to starter motor and all is ok again.
Then noticed no exhaust gases where coming out of the off side tail pipe which turned out to be a seized shut noise valve so freed it off and disconnected the vacuum pipe so now it's constantly open.
Then found heater blower doesn't work on position1 which I believe it a faulty resistor pack
And finally the wipers don't work on the intermittent position which I'm told is a faulty relay in the scu and that it's stupid expensive to replace or repair ( great)
On the plus side I like everything about the car ,it handles well ,it goes surprisingly well the standard sound system is actually not to shabby and I like how planted it feels compared to an mx5.
Only dislike really is how stupidly quiet the standard exhaust is , I'm planning on fitting a sports back box ASAP to fix that!! but in the near future I'm going to change the whole system for stainless steel as I think the exhaust that's on there has been there since new.
I'm going to get the few bodywork rust patches sorted out and I'm going to get the underside re stone guarded and wax oiled and clean up the sub frames and a nice thick coat of black Hammerite to re finish them.
The rest of the car will remain as it is as I like it just how it is to be honest .
I may fit a k and n panel filter to the air box but that will come with the service next year.
It's also had new rear brakes but the fronts will probably need doing before the next mot.
Anyway I'll shut up now sorry for the essay . . .

you can add a photo directly from your hard drive as an attachment, or link to a website like photobucket or tinypics.

I use Photobucket on my Android phone, very easy, you can upload there & poster the link into a thread pretty much instantaneously.
