recoding used alarm fobs
Just got back from the garage who have fitted a new heater resistor pack.
And after replacing the wiper motor assembly and indicator stalk assembly with no difference to the intermitant wipers they replaced the security control unit and ecu and now everythin works as it should.
My question is that they have given me 1 new alarm fob but my car already had 2 which now dont work . . . Is there a way to recode them to my new scu and ecu ? Or will a garage have to do it??

Unless you have the original barcodes for the fobs, then it's not easy.
I think MGrovercodes can code them up but need the scu and all fobs.

Is the garage that supplied the car?
I'd be asking them to supply a second fob.

You need the bar code for the fob to recode it too the new SCU, unless MGrovercodes can do them without.
