Heated rear window problem
As per another thread I have fitted an MGFmania rear window and wired up the heated rear screen.
SWMBO headed off to work today but the heated rear window would not switch off - even after the ignition was switched off. Result one flat battery.
So I've removed the relay which was pretty hot but clearly need to get this fixed. Any suggestions?
Cheers

Put the relay back in start the engine, switch on the HRW then pull F7, the HRW relay should de-energise, the HRW switch illumination should go out.
I think you have an incorrect feed from somewhere, there must also be a switch ground issue, as when the engine is not running the BCU takes the ground signal away from the HRW relay coil; so there are 2 problems to check, the power supply feed and ground signal.
PM me if the want the HRW wiring diagram page for (>MY03 MGTF)
Brian.

sounds like the same thing as mine hope this helps its easy to do just undo two nuts holding fuse board in and turn around clip out two leads and swop box.
This fault was draining my battery you might want to pull the fuse until you get it fixed.

It's a different system with different control components on a MGF to the TF.
But very good information for the MGF owners on the T Bar.
