With Meg or oat its 50/50 and 5.5 litres but do not mix meg and oat. If using oat to replace meg flush through with pleanty of water first.

Hi You could also use 4LIVE made by Castrol works out cheaper than oat etc and has the advantage of dispersing the heat better and IF you START to get HGF it will change colour long before any damage is done and is waterless so no rust ether

It is easier to use ready mix OAT, the F & TF system takes 10 litres and make sure that you bleed it correctly at all THREE Bleed points, Radiator, Heater Matrix and engine rail. if you buy concentrate, dilute it 50/50 but only use de-ionised water NOT TAP WATER.
If changing from Eythl Glycol (blue) coolant, then throughly flush the system with water before re filling. there is not a drain point !! you have to disconnect the hoses at the engine end of the steel underfloor pipes..
it is a good idea to crush a couple of dishwasher tablets and put these in the expansion bottle and run with this for a few days before draining.
replace the pressure cap on the expansion bottle at the same time as the refill and only use an OEM one! the cheap ones are rubbish.
Good luck

Can the dishwasher tablets go in with the oat? As I'm changing the rad to my shiny new alloy one (and probably underfloor pipes too), i might as well give it a good clean! Or should i flush the oat first?

The tablets could go in with the old OAT but you'd getter a more thorough clean by flushing that out and using clean water with the tabs.
