I called a car seller today...

Looking for a new family car I called a private seller today.
The car is located 200km away and I planned to do the trip on Saturday.

Me: Hello, I’m calling regarding your ad for the Kia Magentis, is it still available?
Seller: Did I meet you in Mervue already?
Me: What? No, we did not meet so far.
Seller: No I still have it. Took it off Donedeal due to messers and I taxed it till end of February. I still have it. (The ad is still available online...)
Me: Cool, is there a chance to have a look at it tomorrow?
Seller: the price is gone up to 1700. I had it priced for 1650 but I taxed it for three months. 1700 now.
Me: Let’s talk about the price when I’ve seen it.
Seller: Well not wasting your trip up. That’s what I want for it.
Me: No problem if it’s a realistic price. So is tomorrow ok?
Seller: Will you pay 1700?
Me: If it’s worth. I’ll see several cars over the weekend so may not decide immediately.
Seller: No sorry, not wasting my time. Have better thing to do.
rang off.

Am I too much German to understand this behaviour?

It's not you Rob, it's the weird seller. Obviously wants his £1700 and not a drop less.

There is no shortage of idiots in the world, I had a neighbour who'd advertised his Ford F100 truck, with his moblie as the contact number, he then took the mobile phone to the pawn brokers and later complained that he didn't get any calls :nonod: I waited for a bit more deseration to set in and bought it of him for a song.

To think that these imbicles can vote! No wonder most elected representatives are idiots .....there are so many halfwits out there, who seem to be happy to vote for their own kind!
