Did the works tour of Morgan Motors
Two friends & I did the guided tour around Morgan yesterday.
Can't recommend it highly enough :yesnod: Every thing open to view & photos allowed.
All cars are hand built to the customers spec.,using aluminium chassis & a wood framework, whether it be a traditional plus 4 or a modern plus 8 et al.
They re-introduced the 3 wheeler recently, expecting to sell around 200 cars, but the run so far is above 1500.
Mind you, the spec. is bang up to date & it does 0-60 in 6 secs & well over the ton :bust:
What struck me was the relaxed working atmosphere, with the technicians using their skills but not under pressure.
You obviously pay a high price for the finished product though.
Will post pics. when organised.

Sounds interesting - I did a tour of Ford at Dagenham back in 1978, that was an eye opener to a 14 year old.
Home to black Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 V6 Q4 ,green MGF VVC and red MG Maestro T16.
MG - the friendly marque.

...I'm a little jealous and keen to see the photos!
Did factory tours at Porsche and Mercedes in Stuttgart thirty years ago, incl their motor museums. Nice memories.
