This site is now mostly funded by eBay commissions.
We earn a percentage of the final valuation fee if you buy something from eBay after following one of the full size eBay links.

There's a couple of things you can do to help us keep this site running requiring very little effort on your behalf
1. If posting an eBay link please use the eBay Item link in the new post tool bar (Think Leigh has done some instructions somewhere)
2. When visiting eBay please follow an eBay link from here, and browse from there
Both the above ensure your eBay visits are tracked and affiliated to us

Whilst on the subject, If you think this site has helped you out or saved you money please consider donating to the site.
You can Donate via the Donate tab to the left, or if on a Mobile device and can't see the donate button please use this link http://www.the-t-bar.com/donate

Thanks :broon:

Psymon that's a great idea but how difficult would it be to add another tab to the top tab bar for ebay ads?

cheers
Paul

I could do link to a forum post which contains a ebay link, as it has to go via a forum post to work.

Peter or Glenn do either of you fancy maintaining a post with some links to your ebay listings?

So.. let's say I'm shopping on ebay and I decide that I want to buy something now. If I create an 'ebay item link' on a post here by adding the item number in between the ebay brackets, follow that link and then buy it now, does that help the site?

Whilst I'm not completely sure how ebay's algorithm works, its definitely not going to hurt.

We get paid for two separate things,
Per click - we get a fee per click we send through to ebay , the price per click varies and doesn't add up.
So far this month we are being paid 0.01 per click , 18 clicks so far totalling 22p ??

Per sale - We (sometimes) earn a percentage of the final value fee - again no idea how this is worked out.
Last month somebody passing through out site bought an item (i can only see categories, not items) listed under Sat Nav , which we got £8 in commission.
What could have somebody have possible bought under SatNav that could have left that much for commision??

Makes no sense at all :nonod: but the returns seem good and we've got a few licenses that need paying to keep the site up to date
