Rat cars have been going for many many years. Some pay a lot of money to make their cars look crap.

The first i saw was a old passat with a rusty roof and bonnet, the rest being silver.......my first thught was poor sod someones poured paint stripper on it and he cant afford a paint job................then i saw another passat in cheadle staffs......it looked 100% like a burnt out wreck........closer inspection revealed it was a paint job made to look like that on the sunken titanic... (rusty) ........what beggars belief is there was a advert on the car if you wanted a paint job like it phone the number displayed............. :nonod: :nonod: :nonod: :nonod:

There's a strong tradition in hot rodding circles for rat rodding, it goes back to the early days when rodders were usually broke and cobbling their rods outta whatever they could scrounge.
Today it probably costs more to make your car look like a steaming turd than not
That said, there are some kinda cool ratrods out there, in a sorts Mad Max, apocalyptic, post civilisation way, but none of them are based on bloody, noddy, car, hatchback, shopping trolleys!

Compared to this lot of badarse mechanical mayhem, a bloody VW Polo with shiitty paintwork looks kinda limp wristed! :bust:
