We have a nice looking TF 180 that parks on our works carpark! Am I missing a rare model that MG brought out or is there trickery about?

That was my thinking too....be nice to know exactly how much this car kicks out....if I ever spot the guy, will have to ask him, it looks like it has a Daytona exhaust with quad finishers on, my other guesses would be a 52mm TB and a remap, maybe an induction filter element...maybe he bought the car with the badge and didn't know it was just a 115 LOL!

might be like me when i was 18 years of age....got a free 1.6 badge for my 1300cc escort from the local breakers....and flippin eck...didnt it just shift with that modification...........well no it didnt.but it made me feel a bit cooler at the local car park......where boy racers of the day would gather in there cars.......it was a cheaper mod than forking out for ad on engine parts..............................then again perhaps 180 could be the kerb weight......these tfs are carrying bigger and bigger loads these days :yesnod:........maybe the 180 can carry 2 rolls of astroturf

I use to have a 175 on my TF as this was the bhp it made at a rolling road test but the glue on the 7 was not very good and i lost it

That badge is from a mk2 ZS180 KV6 2.5litre V6 or an automatic ZT with the same engine, it is possible the owner has fitted a KV6 in there.

There is a picture floating around of my T16 Maestro (2.0 16v turbo) with it's current boot, from a 1.3L maestro.

The car does sport a Wizards of NOS sticker on each sill which suggests some sort of tune up or performance enhancement...Nitros oxide injection I would doubt, but I am sure the experts on here would say if its possible!
Must try to catch the guy sometime and have a chat. Also noticed he has 205 tyres all round!

In fact just found this so edited it in....

There's a sprinkling of F and TFs around with NOS injection systems. :yesnod:

Pooh - I've been giving very serious consideration to a '190' badge, well not very, and certainly not serious, but it's the same price as the 180 so why not? I've got a lowered driver's seat, which would be a good reason for claiming the extra power, so, has anyone tested the lowered seat base on a rolling road?

I have removed the sliders from the driver's seat and bolted the seat directly to the floor,so feel justified in getting a 'TURBO' badge. Game over! :P

Some of the ZR's and TF's racing in the MGOC series are 190's.

Not sure how they get there but it involves K maps and a big air intake, from what I've seen looking at the cars in the pit lane.
