Is it just me or are some taxi drivers becoming suicidal .....over the months ive met them at junctions.....ignoring my right of way and dashing in front........last week i met 2......i think they were employed by alqaeda....i was aproaching a major junction with 4 lanes...the taxi in the outside lane suddenly realised he wanted to be in my lane..he indicated at the last minute..has we were both travveling at speed i didnt take any action...as in my oppinion he should of slowed and come over lane from behind........which he did and came up on the inside and tried to force me out of lane ...ramming his car towards the front wing of my van...i could not tell at this point if he was wearing a suicide vest..............in the morning of last week 6.30 am i was travelling to work when a taxi aproached from the opposite direction and swerved in front of me blocking my lane...a bit like the style of driving starsky and hutch had back in the day.......the taxi had stopped across my lane to let a passenger out.....if i were the passenger id of asked the driver...what the bloody hell did he think he was doing.....
i went around him and carried on regardless watching out for anything saying taxi

Well watch out for Uber cabs as one ran into the back of me while I was parked up in Leeds. I waited in my car for him to get out and apologise but all he did was reverse back and just sat in his car! When I got out and had ago at him he denied he had done it ! UNBELIEVABLE! The number of cars I see go through red lights is also alarming . :omg:

Different rules of the road for taxis - there aren't any!

And +1 on people running red lights. That is definitely getting worse which is strange given the number of lights that have cameras on them.

My guess is that T-Barers learned their road craft at the latter end of the last century, when there was more consideration in all we did. The standard of driving has deteriorated no doubt & taxis are noticed because they are emblazoned as such, the wonder is that you see so little wreckage on the road with such cavalier driving. Just give them all a wide berth, a very wide one. And to stop at a red traffic light seems now to have become optional, as has the use of indicators and a full complement of lighting. When lights are working all have to be on all of the time.

The other day I was driving to work in p!$$!ng rain on the freeway I was sitting @ 3 seconds back from the car in front (always add a second in the rain) and I had a truck about 1/4 of a second up my ar$e.
I brake tested him to give him the hint, just a short sharp jab of the brakes, just enough to flash the brake lights an dip the nose of the car a bit, didn't even loose any speed.
He responded with blowing his horns, flashing his headlights and much angry gesticulation :nonod: What a wanker!
I s'pose he thought that I might be intimidated by such a magnificent display of impotency.........I've coughed up scarier things than him! :bust:

There was a time when you could rely on truckies, cabbies ect to show some professionalism and courtesy......alas those days seem to be long gone.
