I didn't think OBD readers could see the BCU, just the specialist readers like the www.pscan.eu

Hi Graham . Well I don't want to bore folks on the 'bar' with this tale as I have posted on here about my TF's Pektron fault . At present I only have one working fob . Add to this my TF will not accept the EKA that my Pscan has accessed from the Pektron unit . A guy ( Paul) who runs Technozen specialises in Pektron units , repairing or coding new fobs . I am told he is quick in turning round Pektron units so I will have to get a wiggle on and get the thing out and posted off to him . The TF is not taxed at the moment and is garaged away from my house so not easily worked on .

my heart goes out to you, as the problems with the MG can crop up at any time, it usually happens when the money is short, I know I have been caught out so many times in the past, how much does he want to repair it? just hope it isn't too much, just hope things work out ok for you in the end, life's a bitch and then you die :hgf:

If my memory serves it is about £95 for the fob but I am considering for him to replace all the relays that can give you a fault when you least want it . Could be about 150 for the whole lot so, not so bad . We are planning a trip to France in June so it would be good to have two working fobs and if posible the EKA sorted out as well.

I recently had all 5 relays replaced in the SCU from my TF. I had it back within 36 hours of sending it. Only a 10 minute job to remove it.....

Did you use Technozen or another company ? Just interested as I am going to be removing the BCU out of my TF at the end of this week.

Yes , I know he comes recommended but he's not good at replying to Emails or indeed ringing back after I leave messages. These comments must not be misconstrued as a criticism as he is obviously a busy guy who knows his onions and Pektrons .
