Suns out in Largs

Sometimes I wonder why I have a 2 seater convertible - after all it seems to rain all the time here in Ayrshire. And then........you get a day lije today and it all makes sense:yesnod:

Terrific photo wee motor looks great.
Took a run up the coast today from Kilmarnock. Brilliant sunshine managed to get my head burned. No hat. No hair. Ouch!

Looks great in Laags, I was up there a while ago and took a stroll up from the yacht marina and was lucky enough to see a pod of whales not far from the ferry crossing. I didn't realise the rarity of it until I spoke to a resident who said she had never seen whales in the Clyde all the time she had lived there for 20 years, it even made the local paper the next day.
Just a health warning for all who have convertibles,...I always wear an hat when the roof s down after a little health scare a while ago. I had a scab on the top of my head which wouldn't go away, I eventually went to the Medic who advised I got it checked out with a skin specialist who diagnosed that it wasn't malignant, but would have to be removed; which they did a couple of days later by freezing it off.
The Medic gave me a little talk on how the skin on the top our heads is so thin it is very easily burnt; so from now on the rule of thumb is wipers off, top down plus hat on even on relatively dull days.

Edit: the scary part (aside from my poor fashion choices!) Is that that short selection of pictures was found by Google assistant from the spoken request "find some photos of me wearing a hat"...

I usually wear a cap when the roof is down not to prevent sunburn (as mentioned elsewhere I've still got hair for that) but to use the visor to help keep the glare outta my eyes, comes in handy when its raining too, by keeping the raindrops off my glasses.

Which day of the year do you get rain there?

A man with many & various hats, how splendid. A scorched follicle on a thinning pate after a fifty mile top down run is painful, I favour a flat hat when driving & in summer a straw hat or pith helmet when not. Not when I'm in bed though, it gets complaints.

Thunder and lightning here....I only where a cap so everyone recognises me......
