1000 Miglia 2018

Last week I had the pleasure to spend a few days in Italy and as it happens this year's 1000 Miglia took place the same time

For those not familiar with the 1000 Miglia - a roadrace that took place between 1927 and 1957 in northern Italy. In 1977 it was resurrected as a classic car race to give the millionaires a chance to present their classic cars... Nevertheless it's a great event to see all the motors not only at an exhibition but to see them race.
During the race, which is done on public roads, the Italian traffic police is not at all interested if the participants adhere to the speed limits or any other rules of the road... :clap:

First surprise was the only other gust in our B&B, an English gentleman who arrived with this little gem:

After being there the last time 15 years ago it was so great and even emotional to see all these great racing cars doing what they were built for - racing.
