The Independent: Hundreds of thousands of cars won't be able to use new fuel introduced by government to cut carbon emissions.

Both the MGF and TF will be affected. :woowoo:

Nothing will happen actualy. Increase from E5 which you use now to E10 will do any difference except, possibly less mpg.
Reports from Canada or France provide info that everything will be the same engine wise.

I understand 95RonE5 will still be available for a while.
If E10 is a problem 98 or 99 Ron "super" will remain E5.

On holiday in Germany at present.
E10 is only 2 cents cheaper than E5.

There is nothing to worry about. My 1995 MGF has been exposed to E10 since 2011 and there have been no noticeable negative effects. No fuel lines have degraded and I have no fuel leaks. The car returns over 40 mpg and I have put over 25,000 miles on the car since 2011. I have been told (Can't recall the source at the moment) that these car's fuel systems were designed with the knowledge that E10 fuel was coming.

This is the sort of experience that we need to hear about.
