MGF 1.8VVC Head Gasket Failure(HGF)
New to forum , but not to HGF's. Last April replaced MLS gasket which had failed with upgraded elastomer gasket . Passed MOT with no advisories , on road from June to end of August with no problem. Put into garage for winter re-started early December boiled over via expansion bottle. Filled and bleed system , restarted level rise raise in expansion bottle but did boil over. Did sniff test , fluid changed colour from blue to yellowy green. Noted white smoke from exhaust , concluded HGF from fire rings into coolant. Removed cylinder head this week and noted anti freeze crystals in vicinity of cylinder non-pump end. I have photos of block and gasket. Liners appear to marginally above block , liners nearest pump end appear marginally higher. Since 2020 the car has suffered three HGF's , it always appear to happen after storage. Do I proceed and re-install another upgraded elastomer gasket(bolts have been upgraded).Fire rings appear to be weakness. Appreciate any advice , if big job car is probably off to scrappers.

The liners should all be the same height, if they're different no wonder you've got problems!.

I was under the impression that the elastomer gasket was tolerant to difference in liner heights.

All are less than 0.1mm , will need new feeler gauges to be more precise. Photos added of gasket and cylinder block

Liner heights measured above block min 0.04mm and max 0.08mm. Suggestion is upgraded elastomer gasket.
