The Evoque is the smallest, lightest (under 1600kg in certain guises) and most aerodynamic (Cd 0.35) Range Rover in history.

It is derived from the Freelander, but with some serious modifications. All of its major suspension parts (MacPherson struts front, multilink rear) have been redesigned for lightness and better geometry; it is the first SUV anywhere to use MagneRide adaptive dampers; and it sets new standards for traction and chassis stability electronics.

What do you reckon, cool?

All the cars are now in the new Cool Wall section in the T-Bar :broon:

All that technology just to drop Wayne Junior off on the school run.

A Range Rover should spend at least some of it's life in a field covered in s**t.. I suspect the majority of people who buy this will have never been in a field .... unless of course it's a football field!!

Granted, it's a pretty car .... but that makes me hate it even more.

No, not cool. No car that is at home on the school run, can possibly be cool. Just another toy 4WD

Yes 99.9% of them will never get muddy but at least it can when it needs too. It's cool just for showing BMW and Audi how it's done and I hope Land Rover sell bucketloads because, just like the Cayenne does for Porsche, it will fund the more extreme stuff that otherwise might not get made.
In some ways the coolest version is not the rapid petrol turbo but actually the FWD base model since that still manages to be decent off road and in snow thanks to Land Rover know-how.

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels :)

World Class - Sub Zero

JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) are I believe producing some of the best cars in the world right now and we should be proud of what our British Engineers are designing and the cars our British workforce are producing in this this country.

We are far too good at knocking the things we produce and talking down our products.

On the road the Evoke is a stunningly good looking vehicle with a superb interior.

It does not matter where or for what reason you use an Evoke - it is a cool car and buyers around the world are voting with their wallets. JLR simply cannot produce the Evoke fast enough at the moment to satisfy demand.

No doubt it is a pretty, even Cool LOOKING car. Great looking interior and i agree the LandRover engineers should be proud of what they have achieved, really sticking it to BMW and Audi.

However, and here's the controversial bit, a Pretty car with fancy futuristic interior does not a Cool car make.

Do you think you would look cool driving it, just cleaned it so no one knows you have just spent a whole weekend green laning, you pull up at the school to see a dozen others dropping little Tarquin off and then the worst sight ever, Posh Spice steps out of one.........street cred gone in a flash.

Maybe if yours is permanently dirty from using it off road it would be cooler, but then the Prep school society will shun you as you clearly do not have a butler to clean it for you - how dreadfully common.

Great Looking car, I love it. But I do not think it is Cool. Very few of this SUV genre are Cool - just in my Humble opinion.

It's the same pop-up gear selector as the Jaguar XF

I HATE 4x4s, usually used in towns and not off road! But I have to admit I like the looks of this...
