Triumph TR6
Considered by many enthusiasts to be the last of the real TRs, the TR6 was produced from 1969 to 1976 with a total run of almost 92,000. As with its predecessors, the TR6 enjoyed enormous success overseas, particularly in the USA. The 2½-litre engine delivered lusty performance whilst the Michelotti styling looked particularly pleasing. Today, in the world of classic sports cars, the TR6 fills the gap between the MGB and the ‘Big Healey’……. has a dedicated following and the benefit of two excellent clubs.

A fine looking car and arguably the best of the TR's, but I have always preferred the Triumph Stag to be honest.

They were/are cool cars but I was never a fan of the styling. I much preferred the TVR2500M with the same engine.
That said there aren't many cars that sound as good as a TR6 with a dual exhaust!
The other think I liked was the way the rear end would squat down when you hit the loud pedal.
I can recall the weak point being the diff mounts. We welded up a lot of them when I was working for Wembley Motors.
I got to the point where I could have a gearbox out for a clutch change in 45 minutes! :woohoo:
Period Piece!
