Water water everywhere.
Well, I stripped out the passenger seat and carpet to dry it out (years of water ingress, and modify the door seals.
I have been partly successful with the door seals, but still a few leaks, so I will have to try other things.
However, with the carpet stripped out it became obvious today that one of the leaks isn't coming from the door.
As you can see, there is a fair old puddle in the left side of the passenger floor plan and there is no path for the water to get there from the door.
However, if you look up a bit, you can see a trail of water from the footwell,
and if you follow it up under the dash, it looks like the famous airbox/blower leak.
So, I think a tube of mastic sealant may be in order.

Hi, Having just spent a few weeks sorting out leaks on my MGF I regard myself as something of an expert in those, particularly in the passenger footwell area.
Being as yours is a TF I believe it would have the modified air intake box as shown in David's post. So it should only be a case of mastic around the edge to sort it out.
If you have the older box arrangement I would recommend getting the replacement updated intake. Not expensive but as far as I am concerned a real PITA to get the old one off. I like others had to resort to cutting it off in bits.
One thing to check is to remove the ducting to the heater and have a gander inside it to see any signs of water dripping down it. If not then it's probably the foam sel failed which would be fixed by the mastic.
Do you park it facing uphill? That seems to be one problem, certainly made things worse in my case, water drips through the vents in front of the screen and pools on the scuttle, not draining away due to the incline.
Hope that helps you oh great and wonderful temporary boss!
Peter
