A tip for all you X-Power Grey owners.
After about 30 minutes of applying water and polish a whole different car was exposed. No longer did it look like a car in a black and white photo, but a truly beautiful blue car emerged.
So, it got me thinking that maybe there are more X-Power grey cars out there than there should be. You may not have to put up with the lack of colour. Just follow my how to and you may discover a radiant colour waiting to be uncovered.

Posted 14 years 8 months ago #11674I have the same, and an annoying ring of condensation around the outside that spoils it (when its clean, sorry another dirty pic). I think it looks worse on a black car.
It won't dry out in the sun nor can you pry that part open. Any suggested sultion? I was thinking black tape all around the outside for 4-5mm or so but that may look pants and pull off...
Also on the subject of these lights the naked bulbs for tail and indicater look unprofessional and mildly annoy me as well... to the point of wanting to sell these clusters on.

Thanks for the advice - the black plastic enclosure appears to be moulded though...? I'll see if hairdrying through the bulb holes does the same differencce.
Any thoughts about making the raw bulbs a bit less vulgar? My initial thoughts was to turn them so they face backwards towards the reflectors, but I don't know is this is a) possible b) legal...

You could try led bulbs instead of the regular kind.:dunno:

Good idea, thanks. A bit pricy for just a bulb but might buy a couple of pairs at some point. Found an auction , although the connector part looks different. T10 means different type of fitting? EDIT yes it is isnt it
