Is it just my car that is like this or do the rest of you have the same problem. I have seen new suspension kits you can buy from the MG Club and Spax but they cost hundreds.
Can anyone offer me ideas on how to improve the suspension without it being expensive. Is it just a case of new springs??:dunno:
Thanks

The suspension can be improved for around the £6oo mark, but you will probably need springs and dampers. It will improve it, but you will still suffer over broken roads. You have to remember what you are driving, the likes of the TF and F are never going to be happy over potholes etc.

Might be worth looking into the VHS Bilstein replacement damper kit I've read some great reviews, but never driven a TF with it fitted so cant speak from direct experience.

As I said though, it will improve matters but will not solve the problem. Family cars struggle with broken roads, so even a well sorted 2 seater sports car will have problems.
Can I ask what size wheels you have on the car? 15" will cope better than 16" and may be an option for you as they have the same rolling radius but more sidewall to iron out the bumps.

I can confirm that. :yesnod:
Going from 16"s with 40 profiles to 14"(snow tyres) with 65 profile shows a remarkable increase in the comfort of the ride on poor roads.

but it doesnt seem to be much better over potholes.... general bumps and lumps yes the F is amazing... like an ocean liner Vs the TFs high gee stunt plane but on proper pot holes i see no difference??? thats imo though
