It's all down to the fact that they wanted to keep the bootlock too.

The bar from the solenoid attaches to the bootlock cable inner. As soon as the key is taken out of the lock the lock won't turn anymore (Err, it's locked) which means that the cable inner will not move and the actuator can not move the latch.

Disconnect the key lock and it works. Put the key in the bootlock and it works.

Mine works, but I don't have a keylock.

all I'll say is if i hadn't been in company the toys may have been out the pram lol
David, the problem was we were wanting to keep the option of using the key as well as the boot popper but with the way the lock works that is not really an option with the bar that comes with kit....... however modifications are in the pipeline, going to try to do it as mgfnorway did it

Oh..................err...............................really wished I had been able to turn up now:blush: Cos well, err ...I've got one fitted and the key lock works fine...err...sorry.
