It's just that I've seen this pretty flip paint tf on eBay that's perfect and whilst I know I could sell the zs and afford to buy it knowing my luck I'll sell the zs for it & in the mean time the tf will sell leaving me without a car & i can't risk that... It's a bit of a catch 22 :frown:

You could put a deposit on the TF.

I was very close to buying an MG Midget as a second car for £1000 in pretty decent condition (very little rust, ran very well). Insurance was 1/5 of the price at £98 TPFT & £103 fully comp. Tax free on pre 73 models as well. I'd call that affordable. Spitfires were same on insurance. Bs 50pc more expensive.

You KNOW you want Slave back! :yesnod:

I miss Slave like mad but I don't really want to trade in an a newer MG for an older one.

I take it that the good new. Is your bro has found some wheels then if not a rover 200 cab ain't a bad car n cheap. Failing that if 4 seats are needed a Volvo C 70 is the car for you.

It's not so much the fact that my bro has got a ride sorted but more the fact that I didn't really realize before that with a full time job I just wouldn't have the time to see him anyway! Bit gutted both because I can't see my bro as much and also because I kinda traded in Slave for no real reason!
