"Heavily modified engine" barley does the Silver Lady justice!... anyhow
just to chuck my 2 cents in
me and Quicksilver had a 40 odd minuet conversation yesterday and had a good old chin wag about this little project of his
As usual chris is far too modest for his own good... I don't want to mention to much about what we discussed as obviously this is his little baby but this head offers something very impressive for K-Series Tuners, it's not very often that a mod offers you big power gains AND improved performance so i can see this been a very popular mod if all goes well.
I would love to offer my car open as a test bed (i'd probably be ideal as my right foot rarely leaves the carpet and I'm not exactly gentle with Bucephalus!) however as most of you know i have forsaken the true path of K-Series Tuning! lol also mine is only a 1.6 lol
best of luck to Quicksilver and can't wait to get over to the workshop and see the head in all it's glory!

Sounds good, Chris. we missed you on the Bowland run!Quicksilver;14211 wrote: Latest news on the head is we have had it mounted with big valves and fitted it to a k series race engine with a hefty supercharger, good news is the head was still strutting its stuff at near 300 bhp without breathing restrictions. So as the saying goes jobs a good un. Three test heads have been cast and are being polished and built up while I write this so I think it likely that Silver Lady should be done in a couple of weeks. Will PM those who have offered to test probably by early August.

Quicksilver;14481 wrote: Well the first production head arrived last Thursday and it is planned that it will be fitted to Silver Lady next week. Adam came over to have a look and kept muttering stuff about wanting one as a piece of modern art. Iam fairly sure that he was wanting to have its children but thats Adam for you lol!

i shall mount it on a plinth or take it to bed! one or the other!
the head is quite clearly an exceptional pice of engineering, the valve clearances have clearly been engineered to the micron and the machine work is amazing
one thing is for sure, at this rate the silver lady wont need any oil in her.... my saliva will be lubrication enough!
hmm this thread is becoming dangerously pornographic!
