Having spent an hour on the train wifi (its sloooow) reading the thread half way I can safely say it seems to strike of the same Draconian method Steve used with Kara before T-Bar got set up.......

Heavy handedness at its best! Oh and anyone who wants to not renew at .org had better cancel the transfer with the BANK as otherwise the payment will go through anyway like mine did - despite them not wanting to renew!

Yep. That's my point. It is nothing at all to do with F/TFs

Well I finaly found how to cancel my subscription to .org on paypal

Not saying I won't visit or pay my dues, I just hadn't realised until reading threads that it would be taken.
I am in control of my cash not anyone else!

Older but certainly not wiser!

Honestly you go away for a week and all hell breaks loose!

Regarding advertising vs. forum running costs I have no idea how much it costs for the server space that .org needs but I'm quite transparent and have no qualms admitting that it costs me the small amount of £11.99 a month to run this place! Hence we don't really need to be the MG equivalent of Las Vegas!

Personally I prefer the quieter more relaxed atmosphere on the T Bar as imho it makes us all more community-spirited.

Oh & Andy & Paul.... consider rep given for the rep you lost!
