It might be because I'm sad or because I spent 22 years in the forces, but the Union Flag has to be red, white and blue. Anything else is disrespectful.

I understand your points of view and, yes, the FLAG must be red white and blue.
But this is just a badge in a flag stylee. Loads of this sort of thing about, and I don't see it as disrespect to the Union flag, but a complement that it is so distinctive a pattern that the colours can be changed and people still know what it is.:dunno:

But seriously, no. In times gone by you could have ended up in prison for defacing the Union Flag.
It is also illegal to change the colours of brand names such as MG, but I can't imagine them taking an individual to court.
