Hey guys, I'm looking for accurate bolt sizes for the following and couldn't find them in the TF workshop manual.

From here: http://www.tastynuts.com/Products/0004000e0016

1. Sump bolt size for the oil sump.
2. Sump bolt sizes for the gearbox (both filler and drain).

From here: http://www.tastynuts.com/Products/0004000e00020001

1. Banjo bolt sizes for the front AP brakes and rear normal brakes on a TF.

I'm changing my brakes so might as well put shiny new banjo bolts in.

Cheers and hope you guys can help! Not sure where else to find this info. :bye:

Addition: Bolt sizes for the panel that covers the underfloor coolant pipes would be good too, as when I change mine to stainless I can put titanium bolts in to stop them rusting up again. :)

Edit: .. and the bolts that hold the pipes on. :D

Well, apart from being able to tell you that you need a 15mm socket for the oil sump plug, I can't help on this one.:dunno:

Update: According to this ( http://google.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?p=3164608 ) all three plugs are 14mm x 1.5. Though personally I would go with 2 x short and 1 x long for the gearbox and oil sump respectively.

I can't find the thread where CJJ actually used them so I'll wait until he can confirm the sizes.

Update: After more searching a CJJ thread once more comes up trumps for the Banjo Bolts.

According to this ( http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=298501 ) they are all M10 x 1.0 size.

Found no information for the underbody panel bolts but I bought a measuring tool from Pro Bolt that should be able to gauge them accurately.

I'll pop one off when I go under there to sort out the gearbox later this week and measure it.

There are 22 bolts holding this underbody stiffening plate on, i think they are the same size as the ones holding the slam panel on (bonnet closes onto) Brown & Gammons do a kit in stainless steel for the slam panel about £6 for eight or ten bolts and washers, which is £18 against £8 each for Titanium ( 22 x 8 is £176)

Yeah.. after spending £100 on titanium banjo bolts, clips, bolts to replace the rusted wheel arch screws, and magnetic sump bolts I don't think I'll be buying 22 titanium bolts.

O_o

Though most of that cost came from the sump bolts if I'm honest.

Hey CJJ. :)

Just one question I have remaining actually.

It's this; are the bolts that hold the underfloor pipes on (3 of them) the same as the bolts that hold on the protective pan that covers them? (22 or 24, I have two conflicting sources, argh)
