Replacing bushes?

Hey guys, is it difficult to replace the bushes on the front and rear suspension? I'd love to replace them with polyurethane bushes to aid in future-proofing the car and to stop failed rubber bushes further damaging the things they're attached to.

But I can't seem to find any info on them nor can I find anywhere that sells a full kit of polyurethane bushes! Mike Satur sells the full front kit but not the rear. :shake:

MG Owners Club, Sussex classic car parts, Probush, Autobush (on this site) MG-TR parts all sell sets of polyurathene bushes for the MGF and TF, they vary in quality and price. do a google or bing search for MGTF poly bushes and you will be amazed at what you find. come back if you want the website addresses. i bought an Autobush set for the front of my MGF, but have not fitted them yet. They are not that difficult to replace, a lot depends on your mechanical skills.

Ah sorry, I should've mentioned this is for a TF. Seems the only "full sets" I've found are MGF only.

I'll have a mooch around the sites mentioned in this thread though.

Mike, try POLYBUSH www.polybush.co.uk they do front and rear sets for the MGTF, they are not cheap though about £270 for both sets.

My wallet just screamed.

I'll definately do this, but maybe next month instead. :lol:

That's one thing I noticed David, I couldn't find a "how to" about replacing bushes ANYWHERE.

Which considering there's one for everything else is quite odd!
