The bumper has now jumped the fastenings under the headlights on both sides. Its still secure but frankly looks awful. I can refix no problem but any ideas on how to stop it happening again?
Cheers

If it was me, I would refit the bumper so it sits correctly, then 'adjust' the holes in the arch liners to fit the bumper.

Car should be a 2002 TF 135, but will check the fixings as the garage had the bumper off a while back to refix the pass fog light that had decided to leave.

Liners were purchased as being TF and seemed to match the ones I took off - is there a quick way of telling the difference?

I don't know, I just assumed that there must be a difference.:dunno: which was why there was this gap problem.Tigger;14844 wrote: Liners were purchased as being TF and seemed to match the ones I took off - is there a quick way of telling the difference?

Just took the bumper off to find a bumper cross member that's too new for the age of the car. Also the pass side bracket was bent so that the bumper didn't sit properly. replacing the liners just caused the twist to show more.
Will put it all back together tomorrow and hopefully everything will line up.

Yep, never pays to assume something. Like me assuming the handbrake was working well!Tigger;14906 wrote: Well, lesson learned - don't always assume its the last thing you did that's wrong.
