Going to the rolling road today for timing being sorted, but concerned that its still not going to sort out the over fueling issue...

do you guys use piggy back ECUs for remapping? or do you swap to Emerald 3D units like the Elise boys?

just wondering what the next step is to get my wifes car properly set up...

Cheers
Oz.

What year is the car? If it is 2000 onwards the ecu is probably Mems 3, which is reprogrammable.
Why is it overfueling? You need to get it on a T4 computer or OBD reader to check for faults. I would have thought that the standard ECU would have coped with your mods.
People have swapped to the Emerald unit for more 'exotic' mods.

it is a MEMS3 unit, and it seems the issue is timing more than anything... at the moment im getting 280 miles out of the tank instead of 380 miles!!! massively over fueling... hopefully having the timing set up correctly will sort it...
anyone know of a good K-Series specialist on Surrey / hants border?

mines over fuleing (i think) totally reeks of fuel but i put that down to de-cat and high flow back box, talk to Z and F tuneing, they'll re-program the mems3 for you, bit cheaper than an emerald

Teesside meet, open to all MG/Rs. 3rd Sunday of the month, ask for times and places!!!

I'd put it down to a leak myself.

If you were overfueling it would run like a dog. Too much fuel would result in a very poor ignition, especially if it was coming through unburnt.

It's not uncommon for the fuel filler neck to be at fault.

mines over fueling so badly that it sometimes stalls on idle then wont restart due to too much fuel!
