I havent seen any information on whether this kit is compatible with Trophys and if it is what effect it would have on handling for instance if a standard F and a Trophy handle the same with this kit fitted would the Trophy tyre pressures have to be changed to a standard F ?

Hi Guys, the SUPLEX MGF coil conversion kit is availble from MGF specialists and MG Rover garages. If you have any problems locating them, please contact [email protected]

The first production batch looks to be selling fast but we have a handful of pre-production sets available for immidiate delivery, direct from SUPLEX.

Is good news at it will keep many more F's on the road.. and possibly other hydragas suspended cars.. Metro's etc

Does this mean the end of hydragas, as these variable spring units slowly replace the Hydragas spheres?

If so its kind of sad news too.

Has any one checked the insurance position if these units are fitted? Presumably insurance companies will regard these as "modification" from standard and take the opportunity to clobber us.

Knowing insurance companies they will certainly try! :yesnod: I think there may be a period of confusion until they accept that these are just replacements rather than modifications.

It boggles my mind what you have to put up with from insurance companies in the UK. It sounds like they would void your insurance if you had a Lady Gaga disc in the CD player!
Here replacement parts are not a problem, and even mods are ignored unless they obviously affect the safety of the car.

Yep, the British Insurance companies are out of control, in my opinion.

Example - fit Roll hoops and tell the insurance they're roll hoops and they'll raise the premium, tell them they're Vanity hoops or some such (cosmetic) and they probably won't. Go figure.
