T Bar damage

The damage shown was done before i got the car and I replaced the T Bar last weekend thanks to Mgfntfbitz. (can't recommend them highly enough!)

When i had the T Bar off i noticed that the hood pivot bolt 'A' in the next photo had worked loose.

I think this was the cause of the damage as if not spotted in time the bolt can come out. It looks as if the next time you raise the hood the loose mechanism can slip under the T bar and lever up causing the damage in the other photos. It certainly looks as if the damage has been done from underneath.
Anyway i shall be keeping an eye on it in future. :dunno:

I've never seen damage like that before TBH. But I will be checking those bolts in the morning.:yesnod:
