The best mod; the most practical mod; the best value for money mod. was created by David Aiketgate
Posted 14 years 1 month ago #168832/. What's the most practical mod you've made to your car?
3/. What's the mod on your car that you think is best value for money?
For me
1/. It's got to be the heated seats.
2/. No doubt - the low coolant alarm. Saved me a cooked head already.
3/. Again, no doubt, it's got to be the mod to the bottom bush on the shock absorbers/dampers. It cost nothing, saved replacing the bushes every MOT and helped the handling.
What's yours?:dunno:

Posted 14 years 1 month ago #169002/. What's the most practical mod you've made to your car? - Mike Satur Radiator Valve. No more dribbling coolant all over the bodywork. Also makes you look professional while you bleed it.
3/. What's the mod on your car that you think is best value for money? - The underbody sealant. One tin goes a hell of a long way!

Posted 14 years 1 month ago #169051. I would like to say the driver, but it's probably the Daytona as it makes me smile.
2. Oooh, soo many. Toss up between the built in satnav or heated seat, but I think the seats have it.
3. The torque tamer poly bushes.

Posted 14 years 1 month ago #169361. I can't say the XPower exhaust because it was already there when I got the car so it will have to be the Kenwood BT-40U Bluetooth Head Unit - Can listen to the iPod and then get interrupted by the sales team phoning me on the way home.
2. Probably the radio again or maybe the Peugeot washer nozzles.
3. Definitely the washer nozzles, cheap as chips but actually spray the whole screen rather than the tiny area jet-washed by the originals.

Clive, how do the torque tamer bushes affect the car?
They make it feel more sporty. Less of the torque is taken up slopping the engine around the engine compartment. Quicker takeoffs.
The car used to be bad in 1st in slow moving traffic (think kangaroo) to the point it would be embarrassing, now it is like a smooth thing in smoothsville. It also holds a higher gear at slower speeds withoud juddering.
It makes the drivetrain feel a lot smoother.
The only very slight downside is that you get a very small vibration through the chassis on tickover.

I love my conversion too, but the exhaust makes me smile on acceleration, deceleration and even when not moving. The brakes only make me smile on deceleration and looks.

Got a pic of the R75 handles in place? I have had a pair in my shed awaiting fitting for over a year now! LOL
